Children/Toddlers - Worms
Abstract
Parasitic worms (helminths) can cause infections in humans and are among the most common human infections in many parts of the world, especially in warm climates like South Africa. They can affect people of all ages, but disadvantaged children in South Africa carry a large burden of these infections. Children who live in densely populated and underserviced urban informal settlements, as well as some rural areas are especially affected.
