AbstractOne of the developmental milestones is the appearance of the first tooth that can be expected in babies between the ages of three and seven months. The process of tooth formation begins in the womb, when the baby develops tiny tooth buds below the gums. These tooth buds will become the baby teeth, also known as milk teeth. The roots of these teeth later dissolve, causing them to fall out, and then permanent teeth will replace them. The eruption of all twenty milk teeth will take about three years, while permanent teeth will start making their appearance by the age of six years.
