AbstractMeetings in healthcare facilities take up considerable time, not only for the managers of departments, but also team members. The time spent at meetings is regarded as time during which focus on the job and the management of patient care is waived. Team members cannot concentrate on reaching their patient care objectives as they have to attend to administrative functions. Therefore, meetings must add value, not only to an organisation, but also to its attendees.
